Meet the Newest Members of the Alphabet Kids Team

Creator of the Alphabet Kids
Julie Mormando, Alphabet Kids Ambassador
Julie was born and raised in New York City and has a BA from Fordham University in Sociology and Psychology. She was a Program Manager at Justice Works Community. As a confirmed New Yorker, Julie believes that the melting pot of multicultural experiences have broadened, enriched, and challenged her.
Alice Fitzsimons, Alphabet Kids Ambassador
With a background in marketing communications, Alice entered the field of education in 2009 after earning a Masters in Elementary Education from DePaul University.
Alice currently enjoys teaching at Nettelhorst School in Chicago within Tuition-Based Pre-K. As an educator, Alice is committed to curriculum that promotes cultural awareness and tolerance, and embraces Alphabet Kids philosophy.
Mpande Simelane, Program & Marketing Associate
Born in South Africa, Mpande attended United Nations International School, Blair Academy, and Tshwane University of Technology in South Africa. His work experience ranges from IT to Entertainment. He owned a recording studio and an independent record label. Always up for a challenge, Mpande believes there's always a solution, loves learning new things, and finding creative ways to approach every problem.

We are proud to announce that Miss Illinois International 2012 has chosen The Alphabet Kids as her official platform encouraging multicultural understanding and tolerance during her reign.
Here are some interesting facts about Saryna Ritter:
- Began competing in pageants at age 15
- Studied Tap, Ballet, Jazz for 14 years
- Loves music and plays the flute, piano, clarinet, and violin
- Personal Interests include teaching swimming and cooking
- Committed to community service, mentors at Big Brother Big Sister, and dedicates time to Go Red for Women
- Describes herself as effervescent and compassionate
Many Faces-Many Places Tour
We were invited to appear at Kenmore Live! Studios in Chicago for a Kids and Parents Cooking Show with host Beena David. Watch the show and get healthy kid-friendly recipes: Challah French Toast, Hummus with Pita Chips, and Quesadillas.
Alphabet Kids Curriculum is Available!
Attention all teachers, home schoolers, parents and PTAs who love to go that extra step. The Alphabet Kids curriculum is available and is a holistic approach to teaching multicultural awareness, and tolerance. Each of the Alphabet Kids' books has corresponding lessons for language arts, reading, math, social studies, science and more. The Alphabet Kids team would love to visit your school to conduct teacher workshops or in-services to demonstrate how to include our ready-to-use lessons in everyday plans.
